Flowflex incorporates the latest version of established TK technology and represents a stick that first catches the eye with its looks and then the imagination with its performance.
TK were the first brand to experiment with the shape of the back of the composite stick shaft. The original 'Power Groove Innovation' explored the corrugated iron principal, in that a flat piece of metal became stronger and less flexible when corrugated. PGI featured a 4mm concave groove in the back of the shaft which achieved an improved level of structural rigidity and resistance to torsional flex over the conventional rounded design. Over time we realised that any form of deviation from the rounded shape achieved a similar effect and so Flowflex came to be. The embossed TK graphic creates the corrugated effect, but with key properties much more in line with a conventional stick shape, most notably by retaining the depth of key impact and control zones on the shaft to maintain sweep hit and ball control performance. It also creates a stunning visual finish to these top end sticks.
A more recent TK innovation is AVS, the Anti Vibration System. First featured back in 2006 on the Deviator series of sticks, AVS has evolved and now combines the original split handle system and cross section vibration dampening gel insert with a rubberised end cap. This combination eliminates the vibration and shocking that composite stick structures, and in particular those with high end specifications with increased stiffness, can produce when striking the ball. The final result is a much enhanced level of touch and feel on the ball yet still with a fantastic potential output capability. The Flowflex Series features our 25mm Regular Bow. Very much regarded as the conventional shape of modern hockey, the placement of the optimum point of the bow towards the mid section of the shaft creates a shape that offers equal assistance to every skill in the game. The definitive all rounder, this is a shape familiar to all players.
