Advanced Composite Stick
The Evolution CKF65 is a 65% carbon lay-up model with the Strong>High Quality Toray Carbon placed in multi-direction laminate sheets (creates strength in all directions) across a fibreglass skeleton and with integrated fibreglass laminates giving great touch and feel with the Kevlar increasing durability, stiffness, strength and laminate bonding. Fine glass fibres combined into thicker fibres, dipped in resin, and laid out to create single directional sheets. These sheets are layered at different angles for multi-directional strength. This Evolution model is available in the less aggressive Pro (low) bend (23.5mm @ 230mm). High Friction Finish where the final layer of lacquer on the face of the stick is mixed with fine grains of silicon polymer to create a texture that stops the ball spinning on contact. These tiny rubber particles 'squash' on ball impact, providing a damping effect. Vibration Control is acheived by using M-Gel, a silicon gel injected into the handle of the stick which absorbs vibrations caused by power skills such as hitting and slapping, meaning that the player has much more feel. Nano Polymer Resin creates a flexible but stronger bond between composite layers, increasing stiffness and reducing the risk of de-lamination. Cold Touch Lacquer provides a cool feel to the stick's surface.
PRO BEND:
The Mercian Pro Bend incorporates a near maximum 23.5mm bow positioned just below the mid-point of the shaft, approximately 230mm from the bottom of the stick. The shaft has then been shaped to give a thinner pro?le under the right hand and a balance point that favours the head end of the stick. This gives a combination of great stick turn-over due to the shape but enhanced hitting power because of the balance point and sweet spot, the hitting power is also enhanced because the head is 1.5mm thicker than the Ultimate bend. Pro (Low) Bend: 24mm bend at 230mm from the head.
