The Evolution CKF85 is the TOP model in the Evolution range, the 85% carbon lay-up is placed across a fibreglass skeleton giving good touch and feel with the Kevlar increasing durability and laminate bonding. The Xtreme bend features several of the popular concepts seen in our other bends as well as a tapered toe, a flattened backhand edge and a white face for drag flicking deception. Combining High Quality Carbon with Fibreglass and Tungsten Carbide Diffused Kevlar enhances strength and durability. Fine glass fibres are combined into thicker fibres, dipped in resin, and laid out to create single directional sheets. These sheets are layered at different angles for multi-directional strength. A High Friction Finish where the final layer of lacquer on the face of the stick is mixed with fine grains of silicon polymer to create a texture that stops the ball spinning on contact. These tiny rubber particles 'squash' on ball impact, providing a damping effect. Nano Polymer Resin creates a flexible but stronger bond between composite layers, increasing stiffness and reducing the risk of de-lamination. Advanced Vibration Control is achieved using M-Gel, a silicon gel injected into the handle of the stick which absorbs vibrations caused by power skills such as hitting and slapping, meaning that the player has much more feel. As well as Piezo Electric Fibres, that convert vibrations into heat for efficient dampening.
XTREME BEND:
The Mercian Extreme bend features several of the popular concepts seen in our other bends in addition to some new elements. The toe of the stick has been thinned down both on the face and the back of the head to aid getting the ball into the air for 3D skill execution. The backhand zone has been flattened to aid passing and shooting accuracy. The actual bend of the stick (face) is the same as the Ultimate - 24.5mm at a maximum bend point of 200mm from the head. The extreme bend also has a 2mm concave shaft, with the concave situated above, not including, the stick face, so enhancing flicking and 'sling-shot' slapping skills but without compromising the ball / face impact. A 4-degree face twist to aid ball handling, dribbling and control on the reverse side.
