Description
Osaka Tekko Glove | 2026/2027 Edition
Ultra-lightweight field hockey protection, ergonomic backhand shielding, and maximum freedom of movement. The Osaka Tekko Glove (2026/2027 Edition) is a streamlined protective hockey glove designed for players who want essential hand protection without the bulk and restricted feel of heavier gloves. Its distinctive fist-shaped backhand protection plate follows the natural contour of the hand while gripping a hockey stick, concentrating protection across the vulnerable metacarpal area. Backed by shock-absorbing foam and combined with a flexible, lightweight construction, the Tekko provides targeted impact protection while maintaining excellent dexterity and stick feel.
Minimalist Protection for Maximum Stick Feel: Bulky protective gloves can reduce tactile feedback and make rapid grip adjustments feel less natural. The Tekko takes a more focused approach, positioning its protective plate and impact-absorbing foam across the exposed back of the hand while leaving the fingers considerably freer to move. The result is a lightweight glove suited to technical players who value mobility, responsiveness, and close control.
Key Performance Features:
-
Fist-Shaped Backhand Protection: Pre-curved protective plate follows the natural shape of the hand when gripping a hockey stick, helping maintain comfortable and correctly positioned coverage.
-
Ultra-Lightweight Construction: Minimalist design removes unnecessary bulk to provide excellent freedom of movement during dribbling, passing, tackling, and rapid changes of grip.
-
Impact-Absorbing Foam Padding: Contoured foam beneath the protective plate helps cushion and disperse impacts from stray hockey balls and accidental stick contact.
-
Targeted Metacarpal Coverage: Protection is concentrated across the vulnerable backhand area while avoiding excessive padding around areas where greater flexibility is beneficial.
-
Enhanced Stick Feel: Low-profile construction maintains tactile feedback through the hand, helping players retain precise control during quick stick movements and technical skills.
-
Flexible Ergonomic Fit: Shaped around the natural playing position of the hand to allow unrestricted articulation and comfortable movement throughout training and matches.
-
Breathable Construction: Lightweight flexible materials help improve airflow and reduce the heavy, enclosed feeling associated with more substantial protective gloves.
